Lessons from Occupy

What did Occupy Wall St and other Occupy movements do wrong? They had no message or direction. Granted there were many talented people running their websites, but when you looked at the actual occupy sites all you saw was drum circles, intoxicated people, dirty living conditions, and garbage barrels overflowing with recyclables. 

Clearly the revolution begins from within. Boycott big box stores/Chinese goods, support local businesses, buy sustainably, shop at thrift stores, bank at local banks, pick up trash, use alternative fuels, and recycle everything. You cannot make big changes by protesting and getting arrested. Lots of people all making little changes add up to big changes.

Europe is making big changes with a 20% renewable energy goal by 2020:
