Rising food prices pushed tens of millions of people into extreme poverty last year and are reaching "dangerous levels" in some countries, World Bank President Robert Zoellick said Tuesday as he released new data showing that the cost of grain and other staples is near a historic high.

Americans are literally starving:



In this country the debate is about how much money are we going to cut
from programs that feed these kids. Not whether or not we are going to.
How much! Is it just to finance the tax cuts for millionaires while
raising a generation of kids living in poverty?

In addition to fruits and vegies, eat bulk rice, barley, oats, beans, lentils, peas, and pasta. Equally important, don't waste one cent on non-nutritious junk. It's all about eating strategically.
