This genuine American hero tells the truth about combat and why you will not survive in an unsustainable area when disaster happens. You will not be able to fight off the hoards of marauders who want your weapons and food stashes. I also believe bad times are coming for a variety of LOGICAL and well thought out reasons. I am not a "doomsday prepper", but common sense says be prepared. The way to survive is to move now to a sustainable area where people are used to working in society and community. There are many maps on the forum under "Maps, Charts and Statistics" showing were the best places to live are. You MUST plan on homesteading and working with community minded people, not having a basement bunker where you will eventually be overrun. Dump the commando, militia attitude and move to an agrarian community. Being armed against an occasional violent criminal is great, but you will not fight off the entire city of hungry people in Detroit. Forget the semi auto battle tactical rifle, 30 round mags, web gear and the like - if you need all that you will not win if attacked by masses of people. Get a Mosin Nagant or SKS with a tin of surplus ammo for under $300, Mossberg 12 GA &  a reliable handgun. If you move to the right area you will never have the need to use it to fight zombies, but you can use them for hunting. Stock enough dried food for wintertime tight spots and enjoy local produce in the summer. Learn to can and store food and share with your friendly country neighbors. Living in a positive, like-minded agricultural area will mean survival and a community of friends that work together when times are tough.

There is a LOT of BS on the Web. "Maine Prepper" a seasoned combat veteran tells it like it really is - it is NOT glory like your video games and the movies portray!
